Introduction:
The Savanna biome is the largest biome in southern Africa. It's characterized as a grassy ground layer and a distinct upper layer of woody plants.2.jpg


Definition:
A grassy plain in tropical and subtropical regions,with few trees.

Biotic Factors (animals, plants, algaeetc. living things):
Animals in a savanna include African elephants, African wild dog, black mamba, caracal, chacma baboon, egyptian mongoose, emu, grants zebras, lions, giraffes, and many more. Plants in a savanna are acacia senegal, baobab, bermuda grass, elephant grass, gum tree eucalyptus, etc.

Abiotic Factors (rain, wind, temperature, location, soil quality, seasons):
In the Savanna its warm year round. Theres two diffrent seasons a dry winter and a wet summer. In the dry season theres only about 4 inches of rainfall. Between December and February theres no rain fall at all. The temputure maintains around 70 degrees.

Savanna covers one fifth of the Earth. They have two seasons: wet season and dry season. Most savannas lie between deserts and equatorial forests
